Seaview Cottage is a traditional cottage, dating back to the 17th Century, with a history of a family of shoemakers. The cottage also provided accommodation for soldiers during WW2.
The house has a relaxing and homely atmosphere. It has been lovingly restored, retaining a great many of the original features, such as the hooks hanging from the ceiling where the hams were once smoked. Hand painted tiles by Anita Duffy, tell the history of the cottage and Anita's paintings of the surrounding countryside adorn the walls. The house is a traditional East Fife coastal design with whitewashed walls, crow steps and red pan tile roof.
The lounge is comfortably furnished, with an open fire and books, games and small tv. There are two twin rooms and all beds have electric blankets, duvets and pillows. Linen and towels are provided. There is background heating throughout and also fuel is provided for the open fire. The kitchen retains a traditional look with stone wall, pine units and dining table. There is an electric cooker, washing machine and microwave oven. There is a large bathroom with a bath and shower. Visit our
